Madison Hall is not your typical teenager. At 17-years-old, she’s halfway to earning her associates degree, selflessly volunteers in the community, and has just been crowned Miss Emerald Coast Teen USA 2015 — a title which she takes very seriously.
“Wearing this crown makes me a role model for young girls,” Hall said. “And I want to show them that there’s more to life than drugs, sex and alcohol. There’s so much peer pressure out there, but I’ve always separated myself from those people. I believe if you choose to be honest with yourself and with others, than you can do anything.”
Raised in a Christian household, Hall said she learned the value of integrity from her mother, which has helped her be successful in past competitions. And she believes it will continue to help her as she carries the responsibility of representing the Emerald Coast for the next year.
“I want to take the farthest road I can with this title,” Hall said. “I want to influence people and make a difference in my community. And that influence starts with being a good role model for those young girls. My favorite part of a pageant is seeing their faces light up in the audience when I walk out on stage. It’s a big part of why I do this.”
Hall began pageants in February of 2013 with a “do not give up” mentality. Now, only a year later, she holds the crown for Miss Emerald Coast Teen USA 2015 and begins her journey to compete in the Miss Florida Teen USA pageant next fall.
“It’s so exciting,” Hall said. “These pageants open so many doors for me. Not only do I want to win Miss USA one day, but I want to graduate from college and go to law school, and maybe work in real estate with my mom along the way.”
And although the road to the crown is an exciting one, it is also very expensive. Hall is currently seeking three sponsors — local individuals or businesses — to help underwrite the many costs of pageantry as she continues on to compete in the Miss Florida Teen USA competition.
To her potential sponsors she said, “I would be honored to be sponsored by you and I pledge to promote and support your local business located right here on the beautiful Emerald Coast.”
