The Destin Airport has a new system to enhance its aircraft noise complaint management program.
Given the noise sensitivities of the airport’s surrounding neighborhoods, the new PlaneNoise™ system will provide the Destin Airport management team with critical data to address noise impacts thereby enhancing the airport’s overall community compatibility, according to a press release from Okaloosa County officials.
The PlaneNoise™ complaint box is an innovative airport noise complaint management system that will assist in implementing an active noise abatement program by providing increased intelligence on where noise complaints are being generated, how often and by whom.
Noise complaints can be made by visiting the Destin Airport website at www.FlyDTS.com and clicking the Noise Management tab, then selecting Airport Noise Comment Form or by calling the Noise Abatement Line at (850) 651-7097.
