The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has identified the man killed after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night as 36-year-old Eric Walter Vega of Destin.
According to the OCSO, Vega was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lane of U.S. Hwy. 98 and Henderson Beach Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to a post on the OCSO Facebook page, and additional details will be released at a later time.
