Hundreds of participants will come together this weekend in Destin during the newly designated “Relay for Life Week” to honor cancer survivors and their caregivers, and to pay tribute to those for whom the cure did not come soon enough.
The American Cancer Society Emerald Coast Relay For Life event ignites team spirit among participants and works to raise funds in order to save lives. The group’s hope is to allow for more birthdays by helping those affected by cancer to get well, stay well, find cures, and fight back.
Join us on Friday, May 15, at 6 p.m. and take part in opening ceremonies, games, group activities and fundraisers as we walk the track at Destin Middle School in honor of those fighting, those care-giving or in memory of those who lost the battle against cancer. The Relay will continue on Saturday, May 16.
This event is open to the public so come out and show your support in the fight against cancer and for a world with more birthdays!
