The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported sexual battery in the parking lot of a Destin apartment complex.
Deputies were called to 4131 West Commons Drive around 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 29. The victim says she had been looking in her car for her cell phone between two and three that morning when she was attacked inside her vehicle.
The victim reported the incident that evening to the apartment complex staff, who then contacted the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
She described the attacker as an Hispanic male, approximately six-foot, two inches tall and weighing around 210 pounds. She says he was wearing a short-sleeved Navy shirt and jeans.
