I just want to let you know how disgusting it was to see on a recent afternoon the customers coming off and kicking the pelicans off the dock into the water between the boat and dock.
This was horrible.
These pelicans were literally kicked into the harbor with visitors and locals alike watching. I saw parents taking their kids just to get them away. It was awful to see these people act in this manner, but more alarming was the total lack of response or care from the crew or booking booth that was right there!
This is how we promote our family friendly docks? This was horrible, but just as guilty was the blind eye and lack of intervention. Not a single person said anything while the pelicans were not only kicked, but also had a water hose aimed full force at their heads.
Unreal! I’m embarrassed this took place. Disgraceful.
