Let’s go to Africa: Kids explore the world at the Destin Library

Katie’s Kids have been traveling the world this summer at the Destin Library. Every Friday afternoon from 2-3 p.m. kids from kindergarten to second grade explore a different country or continent through stories and crafts.

This past Friday, a group of 12 kids explored the wonders of Africa. Library employee, Katie Grover read several African-themed books before helping the children create their very own Masaai tribal necklaces out of paper plates, crayons and sequins.

 Katie’s Kids will meet next July 10, from 2-3 p.m. to explore the country of China for more information call the Destin Library at 837-8572.
